22 Years of the Toy Tractor Times
About This Issue
By Jason Hasert

Toy Tractor Times is excited to observe its 22nd anniversary this month.  It is so nice to have served the farm toy hobby for over two decades.  When TTT first started, the farm toy hobby was young and needed to be united.  As collectors have joined together over the past 22 years, the farm toy hobby has grown more and more sophisticated.  In 1983, toy tractors were mainly geared toward children with but a few collector's editions for the serious collectors.  Today there is a range of toys in several scales from the basic play toy to the highly detailed and realistic toys for the serious collector.

The Toy Tractor Times has been proud to add to the hobby's collectible models through our annual anniversary tractor series. This year we are proud to announce that your 2005 anniversary tractor is the 1976 Case Stars and Stripes 1570. This model is a true all-American in its red, white and blue colors and captures the true American farm experience. This model is big and bold just like American farmers of past and present. The Ertl company is recreating this patriotic 1/16 model from the ground up. More about this model is found in the month's issue. This model can be ordered online, or by mail on or before October 15, 2005. Order today at http://toytractortimes.com/spirit76

Because the Case 1570 from Ertl is all new a prototype of the Spirit of 76 has not been finished in time for our Anniversary announcement. Ertl should have a protype available in late October or early November. We hope to have it for display at the National Farm Toy Show.

To help celebrate our 22nd anniversary, we have developed a new feature for our online magazine. The Toy Tractor Times is proud to unveil a new free e-mail service at http://www.toytractortimes.com/mail/

The Toy Tractor Times has been linking the chain of farm toy collectors since August 15, 1983. Now in our 22nd year we are proud to offer a new way for collectors to stay in touch with each other through a free e-mail service. Show off your zeal for collecting toy tractors and the farm toy hobby by sporting a personalized toytractortimes.com e-mail.

Not only will this service allow collectors to e-mail each other but e-mail members will receive the latest toy news and new product flyers, catalogs and announcements published on ToyTractorShow.com and ToyTractorTimes.com

Until the Next Times..............

I remember when my brother grew up and moved out of the house. He left behind a shoe box full of toys. These were the good ones from the 80s. That started it all.
