Welcome to the August 2007 Toy Tractor Times. August is a special time of the year for us because we celebrate our anniversary; this year marks 24 years for Toy Tractor Times, and without you, our readers, there would be no celebration. In honor of our anniversary, we are proud to bring you our 2007 Big 70's Power Tractor, the 1979 Case-David Brown 2390. This 161 hp tractor is the 5th and final model in the Big 70's Power series. We appreciate working with Case IH and Ertl again this year on another exciting project.
We honor Rick and Linda Larson who started publishing T.T.T. back in August 1983. This issue features Case tractors with the new Case-David Brown 2390 model anniversary tractor taking "center stage."
Toy Tractor Times TV has two videos from the introduction of the Case 94 series. The first video shows the entire row crop 94 series line. The second video takes viewers inside of the big 94 series tractors. Dan Adamson shares the variations of 1/64 Case implements and 4wds. Jim Simpson reviews the new large frame Agri-King tractors in "Collect it All" and the current values of several Case tractors in "What is it Worth?" Jason Rhoades tackles scratch building a 1/64 Case tractor. "Keeping Current" features 1/64 reviews; you'll find the new Case 1270 and disk from Ertl. Dave Tallon shares tips on adding cab glass to a 1/64 Case 2594. Gordy Schultz's "Literature Rack" spotlights the Case-David Brown high horse power tractor literature on the 2390 and 4690.
In other toy news this month there are interesting articles on the Kinze 4wd by Spec-Cast, the 60th Anniversary Doncaster Plant McCormick tractor, Big Blue Ford Tractors, Ask Ertl on new Case-New Holland Toys and Down on the Model Farm with earth moving tractors. The Truck Stop previews the new Toy Tractor Times International Transtar II by DCP.
Thank you for all your support of the Toy Tractor Times. We hope you enjoy this new issue and consider adding the new Case-David Brown 2390 to your collection. We are looking forward to the major celebration of our 25th anniversary one year from now.
Until Next Times,
Jason and Stefanie Hasert
