Hasn't the year 2007 has flown by? As you'll remember, each December the Toy Tractor Times looks back at all the new farm toy releases of the year. The year goes by so fast that we often forget about the exciting new releases from the spring as we become so focused on the new items on the way for Christmas.
Toy Tractor Times Toy Talk members nominated their 4th annual favorite new farm toys of 2007. We were definitely in agreement with the top models members voted for in 2007. The top toy models for 2007 are the 1/16 Precision IH 806 by Ertl, Pedal John Deere 9870 STS combine by Scale Models, 1/32 John Deere 9630 by Ertl and the 1/64 John Deere 36 row DB90 corn planter by Spec-Cast. Stefanie and I want want to thank all of our authors for sharing their expertise through the Toy Tractor Times this year. Dan Adamson, Dave Tallon, Matt Hirtzel, Michael Henry, Doug Harke, Jim Simpson, Gordy Schultz, Dave Desjardins and Rick Hartwell will receive chrome Toy Tractor Times Case-David Brown 2390's for their outstanding work in 2007.

We also appreciate all of our readers who have made 2007 another successful year for The Toy Tractors Times. 2008 promises to be an exciting year as The Toy Tractor Times will mark its 25th anniversary in the Hobby. Look for several exciting toys to mark the quarter century of Toy Tractor Times with our new 1/16 Legends of the 20th Century Tractor series debuting at the St. Louis Toy Show on February 1, 2008, a limited Edition 1/16 25th Anniversary tractor in August 2008 and a new 1/64 Toy Tractor Times Tractor in the fall of 2008.

Featured Farm Toy of the Month
Matt Hirtzel of Saluki Toys had the collector find of the year. Matt found a gold CaseIH 7010 Axail-Flow combine inserted in his regular shipment of 1/32 combines. The special gold 7010 was produced by Ertl as part of the 30th Anniversary celebration of the Axial-Flow combine. Collectors are paying as much as $650 for the gold 7010. Congratulations to Matt on his find as this gold 7010 only cost him the price of a regular red model.
About the Cover
The 2007 Toy Tractor Times Tractor of the Year is the International Harvester Farmall 806 Precision by Ertl. The Precision series was launched by Ertl in 1991 and created a new level of farm collecting detail. Soon after the Precision line started a John Deere 4020 was offered by Ertl in 1992. The 4020 is a modern classic for John Deere fans and its match for red fans is the IH 806. IH collectors hoped to see a Precision 806 in 1992 but have had to wait 15 years. 2007 Toy Tractor Times Collector of the Year
Rob Lynch best known as Rob's Dodges on Toy Talk is and he is a talented customizer and builder of big custom implements and tractors. Rob is the Toy Tractor Times 2007 Collector of the Year.
Each year a the Toy Tractor Times selects a farm toy collector who has helped build the hobby in a positive manner. Past winners are Brandon Cooper in 2004 for his charity work through the Beaver Falls, PA Farm Toy Show, \Samuel Heavner "Big D" in 2005 for his positive role as a farm toy collector and Rick Hartwell in 2006 for his work to connect European and American collectors. Each winner has receives a chrome Toy Tractor Times Tractor.
Rob Lynch was selected as 2007 Collector of the Year for his involvement in 1/16 farm toys. Before Ron joined Toy Tractor Times, Toy Talk was viewed as a 1/64 forum. Rob has united 1/16 fans and created a strong on-line community of collectors and builders on Toy Talk.
