Happy New Year. 2008 is shaping up to be another exciting year for farm toy collectors. This year is The Toy Tractor Times 25th Anniversary in covering farm toy news.Featured Farm Toy of the Month
This month we have the sale of the month. It pays to collect Toy Tractor Times tractors. Ask T.T.T. author Dave Tallon, he is a happy man. Dave auctioned his Toy Tractor Times Allis-Chalmers 7030 on E-bay January 15, 2008. The model sold for $690.00. The tractor was issued by the Toy Tractor Times magazine in 2003 as their 20th anniversary tractor, and the first in their "Big 70's Power" series. The tractor features sturdy, die-cast construction, rubber tires, and glossy AC Orange paint with a black cab and maroon belly, accurately depicting a 1973 vintage tractor. Also making this model unique are the wide spaced 38 inch rear duals. Only 1092 of these were produced.
About the Cover
Can you belive this is a farm toy? This month's cover comes from Steven Balzer of Leduc, Alberta Canada. Steven is best known as Jaydee Farmer2 on Toy Talk. This great looking photo was Steven's submission for the New Years Toy Talk Plow Day Contest. The 1/64 CAT 75E and John Deere 2200 field cultivator were left out over night in the cold Canandain air to create an amazing winter scene.

I've been customizing 1/64th equipment for over 25 years now. I started out as a youngun making implements that suited me because Ertl wasn't doing it. After leaving the hobby for awhile during college, I found TTT and it sparked my interest again. I was living overseas at the time and it was a great community that kept me connected to my roots.
