Truck Stop

Couple of "North East" Log Trucks

Well, this month is Pulling month! Here in Maine we don't have "big" tractor pulls like I watch on ESPN2. We do have some antique tractor pulls and some truck pulling during the summer and fall agricultural fair season. but nothing like the ATPA unlimited's or super stocks.

Believe it or not as I sit to type this Potato planting season is just wrapping up here in the beginning of June, which is VERY late. Mother nature converted our fields to swampland in the month of May with a never ending deluge of rain. Some areas got 10" of rain in the month of May alone! Needless to say the 2005 Potato season hasn't gotten off to a great start as of yet. But with all the rain, the Oats & Canola are really growing rapidly. Hopefully all goes well for all farmers of all crops this year.

Sled in Transport Mode
The Sled

To be perfectly honest, I did not have a chance to assemble this kit prior to compiling this article, this is a brand new kit for DeWayne and he sent one out to me ASAP so I could feature it in this month's article. Assembly wise I cant give you a honest answer about how it went together, but if its like all of the other HCM kits, Its a very well designed kit.

The sled has many nice features... the biggest being the fact that you can change it from "Pulling Sled Mode" to the trailer mode for hauling it to your next tractor pull. It also incorporates a sliding weight box and many other details.

As with any Kit you have the opportunity to make this your very own creation. Add a little here, change a little there and presto, you got a totally unique model. Which in my opinion is a great thing.

Its hard for me to give a great deal of feedback in this review, but I think that the quality, innovation, pricing and features all make this a must have. As I mentioned above, you can use this model to make an "off the shelf" version or go all out and just use this as a base model for your custom creation.

In speaking with DeWayne on the specifics as far as pricing, availability, etc he said to contact him for more information on pricing, parts, etc..

Marketplace

Once again we have something a little unusual in the Currently Shipping section... Not exactly a truck but A display case FOR your truck! This case is designed to display a tractor trailer combo, but I'm sure you might be able to find some other uses for it in displaying a bunch of tractors or such. No matter what you plan on doing with the case its a great deal from Jaydeez.com at only $5.00 each.
