There are many variations of equipment fumigation set-ups in the nation. The TerraGator rigs I customized don’t exist to my knowledge in the real world. However, I strongly believe, the concept to be completely realistic. On the other hand, the pull-type set-up is modeled very closely to the units that are used for the operation here in Wisconsin.
The midsize section of field on the display shows two of Del Monte’s Pixall harvesters hard at work harvesting green (snap, or string) beans. The two “Super Jacks” are numbers 3 and 4 in a harvesting crew of 6 Pixalls. They take 6 rows of beans at a time, and move along quite slowly.
Chasing the Pixalls in the field is a MX285 with a Byron 1516 Dump Cart. In theory, since there are 6 supposed harvesters in this field, two chaser carts are ideal to have. Moreover, in my imagination, I’ve always pictured there being another MX (255) and dump cart in the field.
