The last month’s article talked about the black decal Ford TW series. This month’s article will focus on the blue decal TW series tractors. These were released by Ertl in the early 1980’s.

The 1st model was released without a bracket for the loader. This bracket was soon added.

The models without a loader bracket did not have the filled loader hole on the side of the tractor.

The next variation is the model with the loader. This loader is of the old style and has the large bucket.

The next two models are both Power Pull (PP) models. PP tractors are tractors that are meant to move on their own.

When you pull them back and release them they move slowly forward. The original PP models had pretty basic tires. The tread appeared to have been worn off. These tires were upgraded later on and look much better with a deep tread pattern.

The next model has the same body as a PP model but instead is referred to as a Motorized Action tractor. This model is pushed forward and will continue to move forward after it is released. This model also has the deep tread tires.
Ertl has done many Micro Size tractors. The Ford models can be found in three colors with or without key chains attached to the hitch. The color is the only variation.

A unique TW tractor to look for is this model from Funrise in their Micro Action series.

I have also included an “oops” model. I’m sure there are many more to be found.

I hope this has helped you in your search for fill your collection. If you have any comments, suggestions or know of any variations that are not listed here please send me an email and tell me about them.
