When I raced pigeons in Southern Idaho I trained them from a line of release stations down through Nevada. I always took the same route which passed a farmer in the high desert country. I remember seeing a yard full of White tractors.
This replica was made by Scale Models of Dyersville Iowa. It is the shelf model variation. There is not a lot of detail found on this version. Therefore, I believe it is a good model to be customized. This die cast model is quite heavy but the tires are nothing more then plastic. The lights, including the tail lights, are decals. The cab is the traditional cab used by White which I’ve always viewed as kind of “Star War-ish”.
Most of the details on this replica are under the hood. A lot of the equipment for the engine can be seen and would be easy to add some paint for enhancing their appearance.
Strength of this replica is that is it durable enough for any young child’s sandbox. Again, this tractor provides a great opportunity for someone’s creativity to customize it.
Needs: Better tires, more detail.
