The Toy Tractor Times Magazine
Fall Farm Show Edition
About This Issue
By Jason Hasert

Fall has arrived and it is time for the annual Fall Farm Show addition. This month we are featuring big new tractors and great ideas for toys for your shelf.

The latest news in the field and for your shelf is the all new John Deere 8030 series. We have a special video segment on the new tractors and the toy replicas from Ertl. Also, from the video department is an all new mini-movie featuring the John Deere 4920 fertilizer spreader. We have pictures of the new tractors from the fall farm shows including super-sized models like the new Buhler 535.

Fall also means it is time to begin the harvest. Our cover pictures Tim Grube's chicken and sugar beet farm. Tim has taken time to write a story on his display and all the operations it depicts. We also have some great stories on models from the past such as 1/80 scale cotton pickers and classic 1/16 White 4wd's.

In this issue we are excited to present the first pictures of the 2005 Toy Tractor Times Spirit of '76 Case 1570. These pictures show all the new detail this model has to offer, from the replica Case draw bar and 3 point hitch to the new diamond tread turf tires. Make sure to check out these pictures and the tractor is available for order through October 15, 2005 at www.toytractortimes.com/spirit76/.

We would like to welcome Aumann Auctions as a new sponsor to the Toy Tractor Times. Aumann is the leading auction house in farm toys and has an exciting website with thousands of toy tractor pictures and items available for sale. Make sure to visit their website to preview three big auctions coming up in the month of October on http://www.aumannauctions.com.

We hope you enjoy or 2005 Fall Farm Show Edition. To see all of the new Fall Farm Show tractors make sure to read our check list in the September Farm Toy Report by clicking here.

John Deere's Fall Farm Show Editions:
A Complete Listing

Over the past 6 years, the John Deere 1/16 scale fall farm show editions have become highly collectible. The series quietly entered the toy tractor scene in 1999 with the intent to highlight John Deere's newest tractor introductions at the fall farm shows. .

Variations
The first Minneapolis-Moline four-wheel drive tractors were not built by the factory in Hopkins, MN but by a dealership in Arkansas.

Short Line
Every year the big Ag companies show new and improved products. There's mostly the same thing with new sheet metal and decals.

Willow Brook Farms
Willow brook Farms main farm would be placed near Hancock Wi. Willow Brook Farms is owned by Pierce Johnson, Dave Ring and Max Ring.

Tallon Tips
With the harvest fully underway here in Central Illinois, long lines at the grain elevator are a common sight.  At the elevator in my hometown, one truck you are likely to see in line is Terry Brown’s Kenworth.

Truck Stop
September is upon us and for Northern Maine Potato farms that means Harvest time. This year potato harvest break starts on the 19th of September.

Down to the Details
From my very early displays, I have always been trying to add as much detail as I possibly could to my displays.

1/64 with Dan Adamson
There are four of these cotton pickers to look for. Unfortunately, they need to be out of the pack to be sure you have them. The 1st model has soft rubber tires which can be easily removed from the rims.

Happy Birthday, Brandon
Toy Show Information...
Brandon was the well-deserving recipient of the Toy Tractor Times Extra Effort award and received a Rick Larsen Chrome Edition tractor.

A Closer Look: Case IH Magnum
What better way to continue into the future than with a new feature for September, and one that you will see more of down the road, and that is stories that put a certain tractor or series of tractors on the table to take "a closer look" to talk about the subtle and not-so-subtle differences that exist among them.

Under the Scope with Rick Hartwell
The first thing you will notice about this replica by Siku is that it is not a kid’s toy. This replica is for serious high-detail collectors.
