All 9.0L Engines have INCREASED TORQUE and REDUCED Fuel Consumption, don't believe the rumours otherwise.
- All 8030s are Large-Frames with longer Wheelbases and are approx. 7" longer than 8020s, due to the IVT and other internal changes. Turn Radius has not been significantly affected (2" wider turns, worse-case)

Ertl has introduced a new range of 8030 toys to compliment the real machines. These models include the following:
1/16 Collectors Edition 8530 with all around duals is set to be released in November 2005. This is an exciting 275 hp model with high detail including a replicas 30 series 3pt hitch and opening hood. The roof on the 1/16 8530 CE tractor in the Ertl flyer has a Cab Roof which overhangs much more than the real tractor's does. Bill Walter's from Ertl explains this is one of the perils of trying to get a replica to be ready at the same time the real tractor is announced. John Deere had issues with some of their prototype tractors, so we essentially tooled this replica off of engineer's comments and PRO-E drawings. We were told that the cab glass did not change from the 20 series to the 30 series. So, we didn't tool new cab glass for this tractor. We tooled a new cab roof to fit the cab glass we had, which also had both a front and rear "overhang". Ertl didn't find out until it was too late to change that the cab roof support area had changed. Unfortunately the cab roof support and cab glass are the same piece for us.
A 1/32 8430T is sure to be a big hit in Europe and the United States. This model is the first large horsepower row crop tractor in 1/32 scale from John Deere and Ertl. It has great collectors features like a clear window cab and handrails. The 8430T is 255 hp and currently the top tracked 8030 tracked tractor. Look for this model to arrive at participating John Deere dealers in November.
The 1/64 models of the 8030 series launch a new era in Ertl 1/64 history. With the release of of the new 1/64 8330T and 8430 Ertl has announced that all new modern 1/64 models will feature cab windows as a standard collectors feature. The 8330T from Ertl is a 120 inch wide track model sold in a set with a John Deere 2700 mulch ripper. The 8330T toy sports an all new tooled track and wheel assembly. The 8330T is already available at participating John Deere dealers. An 8430 in a set with a John Deere 2200 field cultivator is also set to be released in September.
