It's time again to head out to the fall farm shows, climb up in the cabs and look under the hoods of the promising new farm equipment on the way for 2008. Toy Tractor Times reader Andy Grogan had a great collectors find when he visited the John Deere exhibit at the 2007 Farm Progress Show. Andy purchased the 1/64 2007 Fall Farm Show Edition John Deere 8530 for his collection. When Andy returned home he was surprised to find his 8530 was one of the “Ultra Rare Muddy” versions randomly inserted by Ertl. Congratulations on your surprise Andy. Many of our other Toy Tractor Times members wish they were as lucky to get an Ertl muddy tractor.

John Deere began one of the most popular series of farm toys in 1999 when Ertl began producing the Fall Farm Show Edition Series. Each year for the past eight years John Deere has offered a 1/16 replica from Ertl to help promote the most recent John Deere tractors on the market.
