Collecting 1/64 Variations

AGCO-Allis 6600 Tractors

Long before Ertl released the later series Agco Allis and the most recent orange Agco tractors, they produced a set of smaller Agco Allis tractors. In the early 1990’s, collectors were able to collect Agco Allis 6670’s, 6680’s, and 6690’s. Ertl made the usual row crop, dual wheel and FWA models. There is no loader model for these tractors.

There are four 6670’s and they are all found in the regular row crop version. The first model is a normal Ertl tractor. The other three models are show tractors. The first, on the left, is a 1992 Farm Show tractor. I will reference the other two later in the article.

In August of 1993 the Farmfest in Minnesota used a 6670 as one of their show tractors as well as a Case IH, a John Deere and maybe others.

The third show tractor was used in 1994 at the World Dairy Expo.

The next size tractor, the 6680 has three variations, the first being a FWA model. In 1993 the FWA 6680 was chose to be used for a farm show. The last variation is another model from the 1995 Farmfest show. This time the show was held in Redwood Minnesota. The only other model I know of for that show is a John Deere.

The 6690 has the most variations of the three models. These models have their own unique cab style. The 6690, shown on the left has a four post ROPS cab compared to a six post cab on all the other models.

Other than that, the tractors are identical. The 6690 comes in 3 basic models; a row crop, dual wheel, and a FWA version. The FWA model has either the normal gray wheels rims or white rims.

The last two variations both have the old style cab. One is a regular dual wheel model. The other is a 1994 show model.
